I am a former piping instructor with the Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment) and have many years' experience as a professional piper playing at weddings, corporate events, Burns Suppers and funerals.

I have chosen not to belong to any piping organisations, which ensures that I can be available to accept engagements whenever required. I always attend in person and do not act as an agent for other pipers, or engage a substitute piper.

Wedding Piper

I play regularly at all the major wedding venues in Dundee and Arbroath, as well as at many venues in Angus, Tayside and North East Fife. See the types of services I provide.

Corporate Event / Gala Dinner Piper

I pipe at various corporate and golfing events hosted by most of the major venues in the Dundee area, as well as Glamis Castle and Guthrie Castle. During military service I also performed these duties at Gleneagles Hotel. I was featured as the piper in the Sky Golf Channel "Big Break lV" which was filmed at Carnoustie, hosted by Carnoustie Golf Hotel.

A typical engagement could consist of the following:
  • Recitals of pipe music during pre-dinner drinks
  • Pipe Top Table guests and/or all guests in to dinner
  • Pipe in haggis and/or courses of meal as required
  • If appropriate, interact/engage in conversation with guests and provide opportunity for photographs (this is particularly appreciated by visitors from overseas)

Funeral Piper

I have established a reputation for professionalism and reliability with all of the Funeral Directors in Dundee and the surrounding area. I am engaged by most of them on a regular basis, to provide a sensitive and respectful contribution as a piper at the funeral of a loved one.

Many other special occasions - renewal of vows, anniversaries, birthdays etc. can all be made even more special with the services of a professional piper.
